Its been over one year since my last post. While we worked hard last spring to convince the Orangetown Town Board of the need for setting some parameters around the use of leaf blowers, the Board was not ready to schedule a workshop on the issue.
I do have good news, though. Nyack acknowledges the need to do something about the noise, and is in the process of scheduling a workshop at the Village Hall to discuss the matter. Nyack residents--contact your local elected officials to ensure that they understand that you want the unnecessary noise to stop.
